Katherine is a passionate individual dedicated to helping and empowering others. Her journey into the field of Speech-Language Pathology began during her graduate school years. It was there that she discovered her true calling – working with individuals who have complex communication needs (CCN). With a desire to make a global impact, Katherine has traversed various countries, including Madagascar, South Africa, England, and the USA.

Driven by her commitment to quality care for the CCN community, Katherine established not only a thriving private practice but also a renowned consulting firm. Leading a team of 15 clinicians, she ensures comprehensive and holistic care for children with complex communication needs.

Beyond the clinic, Katherine actively serves as a Community Faculty Board Member at the University of Reno, School of Medicine, as well as a Board Member on the Development Board for the Brain Injury Research Foundation (BIRF). Her private practice is an official partner with BIRF, actively supporting research to advance therapies and treatments for pediatric brain injuries.

Ever dedicated to personal growth, Katherine has embarked on a pursuit of higher education, commencing her doctorate in psychology. This endeavor allows her to continually evolve her skills as a clinician and diagnostician, furthering her expertise in the field.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Katherine finds joy in her roles as a parent to two children. In her spare time, she indulges in her passions for horseback riding, snowboarding, and globe-trotting with her family.

Boasting four years of experience spanning from the renowned Washoe County School District to the Autism and Brain Institute, Emily has found her calling in working with medically complex individuals and those diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.

Emily's prowess extends beyond diagnostics; she advocates for collaboration among care team members, fostering an environment of shared expertise. Her passion lies in providing specialized services for both children and adults, with an unwavering dedication to delivering evidence-based care that is tailored to each individual's unique needs, ensuring the highest level of success and happiness for both patients and their families.

Beyond her professional commitments, Emily finds solace in the realm of sports, indulging in volleyball and softball. Additionally, she cherishes quality time with her family, and you may often find her at Lake Tahoe, accompanied by her two beloved dogs.
